Is it good luck that DH is poorly just before his hospital appointment.....or just shitty?

It's not fair - he hasn't been right since he came and it has all come to a head tonight

He is coughing up blood & generally very poorly

& we are at Papworth tomorrow at 3

Oh someone talk to me I feel insecure

Dh said tonight 'I wonder if they will keep me in tomorrow' & the scary thing is I hope they will

Hi, don't want you to be on your own, sorry have nothing helpful to say - maybe a good thing if that's what he's going in for? Sometimes nothing worse than going in very healthy and no one able to help - sorry if I am being useless!

Can't offer any advice I'm afraid, but didn't want you to go unanswered.
Is your DH being treated by the hospital? Maybe if he is kept in they can treat him quicker?
Sorry, not much help but here to chat if you like smile

He sees them every 6 weeks or so & gets admitted about once a year; he's only been out for about 7 weeks so it's a bit soon

But the blood is quite new

Thanks btw I'm sorry I'm being needy but it's crap

maxybrown Wed 01-Dec-10 22:51:40

no not at all - I'm sure it is, be as needy as you wish smile can they do anything to help him?

Probably 2 weeks of IV antibiotics, waiting for a broncoscopy in the new year.

Just getting fed up with it

maxybrown Wed 01-Dec-10 23:00:07

hmm I can imagine, do thy not know what it is? Or is that too nosy? sorry blush

KatyMac Wed 01-Dec-10 23:02:45

Sorry, he has Chronic Lung Disease (diagnosed about 3 yrs ago) but it doesn't really fit any normal patten so they struggle to treat it

maxybrown Wed 01-Dec-10 23:04:11

oh damn. How long would they keep him in for?

twirlymum Wed 01-Dec-10 23:17:48

Hope he's ok. Does the cold weather affect his condition?

KatyMac Thu 02-Dec-10 07:45:13

Sorry I fell asleep - they keep him in for 2 weeks (or at least they have the last 3 times)

The cold weather does affect him, but it's viruses (virusi?) that do the most damage & bugs
