Is this right?

I just saw my doctor today because of an ovarian cyst that has regrown. Only, she told me that I have two large cysts, one on each ovary and that it's almost certainly the direct result of the sterilisation I was talked into and that unless I got it reversed rather quickly, I would in all likelihood, lose my reproductive ability entirely. Is this right?

I only ask because I've regretted my sterilisation since the moment I came round from the anaesthetic because I knew I'd messed up in listening to the ex and letting myself be talked into getting it done and was planning to get it reversed but if the doctor is right there might not be any point in getting reversed anyway. sad
