butterfly farm is nice - would recommend bringing a picnic and eating it on the vast bands of the river Avon. Alternatively, there is a pub/restaurant called "The Boathouse" I think or The Encore is directly opposite the River on the townside. Hope you have a lovely day

Go over the river on the chain ferry if it's running - kids will be fascinated by watching it being wound across. And if it's nice, and they're well behaved you can sit outside the Dirty Duck/Black Swan which has a nice terrace (just by the ferry). Look out for the Ragdoll shop - with Teletubbies/Rosie & Jim (including a narrowboat) inside. Costs nothing to go in and the kids will love it.

thank you both for all the info, had a lovely day, went to the butterfly farm, then the playground (which is fantastic!!!!), picnic, and then the chain ferry, then the ragdoll shop, coffee and cakes at cox's yard and the ice cream back to the car... all in all a lovely day!!!!
