There is a thread here which has lots of suggestions.

(It also has some links, but none of them work for some reason - I'll investigate!)

Aimsmum how old is DD? Has she seen the film Madeline? There are loads of Paris landmarks that kids remember from the film and can be fun to find.

Hi Aimsmum

We are going on Monday! We are just going for 2 nights/3 days.. all at Disneyland. Oldest DS has CF so he is getting this as a wish granted via the Starlight Children's foundation.. we are all so excited!

Hope you have a great time.. sorry to be no help with your query..

The last scene in Madeline (where the girls all run madly around the pond, hats flying in all direction) is (I think) the Jardins de Luxembourg, which is lovely for children to play in and had a little carousel when I was there. of course if anyone can tell me where the actual house used in the film is located I will be eternally grateful! Have a lovely time!

Lol Aimsmum.. how would we know if we saw each other? PML! If you check out one of my RaceForLife threads there is a link to my sponsorship page with a pic of all of us on there.. so then, if you see a tribe who look a little like that you can come charging over and say HIIIII!!! I AM AINSMUM FROM MN!(And hopefully no discover that you have accosting the wrong family!) lol

PS DS2 (not the one whose wish it is) now used a little blue wheelchair which might make us a bit more recongnisable!

We went to a giant science place Cite , loads of floors to explore and special kids area where you pay for a session and go in with kid while they explore loads of hands on stuff. It took me ages to figure out how this worked lovely assistant at front desk where you get tickets for everything explained it all.

You have to pay to get in science floors upstairs but can just go to kids bit, small aquarium is free and has restruant in it, submarine (seperate ticket) and big silver ball to run around (think its a IMAX type thing but never had time).

My DD is 5 and loved visiting all the landmarks and seeing the Eiffel Tower twinkling at night.

Are you flying in to Beauvais? By the way Metro is great for getting around, if staying near Disney you will get RER train into Centre then you can get passes for 2/3/4 days that cover central Metro and I think buses.

We jumped on and off metro all day saves time and legs even though Paris is fairly compact you want to see the highlights and not lots of nondescript streets if you only have a couple of days.

Thats not so bad the travel links from CDG are better than the bus service from Beauvais, its not in Paris same as Prestwicks not in Glasgow .

There are also the RER trains that stop at Disney, you will have to change trains coming from CDG.

There is zone ticket for E45,70 for 5 days covering zones 1-5, both CDG and Disney are in zone 5. This could save you a bit if you plan to go into Paris as well as this covers you for the whole Metro. Travel info

Its quite easy to buy the "Paris Visite" zone ticket as the info is at the ticket kiosk and you can just point to the option you want.
