We'll be in Hong Kong for three days en route to Oz at the end of July - suggestions for must sees/dos that accommodate 2 small children (4 & 2) without overdoing it?

Many thanks.

See Victoria Peak on a tram up into the hills for a spectacular view, Aberdeen harbour just to see people living on boats and the Jumbo floating restaraunt. Stanley market was good too. All the little mmarkjets around and about where there are all sorts of fish for sale. We went on the little trams that run through the streets, really cheap way to get around not sure if suitable for buggies though! The HSBC HQ are worth a look although not too exhilirating for kids!! We went in August and it was stifling hot particularly among skyscrapers as they all pump out hot air from air con units!! We would pop into shops every now and again to cool down. It is great though, three days is just enough. Where will you be staying? Where are you going in Oz? We def want to go back SOON!!!!! Have a nice time

OH yes forgot the tram to the top

BUT go on a clear day cos it was foggy @ the top when we went

cool fountains that dance to music up there

For the day you are in the centre of town there is a free zoo, very basic but might break up the 'shopping etc'. You can take the escalator part way up. Near Stanley Market there are beaches and probably some playgrounds although I wasn't looking at that point, again do your thing int he market (not overly interesting for kids) and then they can have some time too.
Have fun it is a great place - can't wait to go back.

Thanks for the the tips. Half of me wants to pack in lots of shopping for skilks and food sampling but v aware that we will be jet lagged, it'll be the end of July so presumably v hot & humid and small boys may not find those things too exciting. There's a roof top pool at the hotel though. Like the idea of train to the top of the mountain. Not sure how much cash to take as it's really just the 3 days before a year in Australia. Nice problem to have though!
