friends of ours have taken on a gite late last year.

here is their website. Have not been but they are lovely friendly people and hope to visit when we go back to the Uk to see family and friends.

Can't recommend a particular gite in that area but can highly recommend booking via www.gites-de-france.fr. Have used them several times inlcuding twice booking online. Much cheaper than booking through UK company and very consistant standard, we always book a 3 "ears of corn" one.
