This place is nice and does 2/3 night breaks here
What about a caravan in France? We booked through Matthews Holidays and a caravan cost us less than a tent through Keycamp and some of the others.
What about Center parks.

Centreparcs in Holland. We are going to spend a week in one at half term, it will cost less that 600 quid in total, including the channel tunnel crossing

My brother has just built ahotel in the Grek Mountains - about 4 hours drive from Athens. It has the most fabulous scenery.
You can also go to delhi and see the Oracle on the way.
Have a look at booking a gite in France - we have booked for the last 3 years from a website called holidaylets - they simply link you to gites/cottages and you book direct with the owners. We have had some lovely places and prices are very reasonable - certainly on a par with what you would pay to stay on some of the more upmarket campsites and you get all the facilities of home.
