Do you need someone to come and carry your gear?

Would second phi phi islands - lucky you. Diving is my fave thing in the world.

Thanks you all, keep them coming .. much appreciated!

Actually, I'm not the one going (sob!) - its my colleague who just handed in her notice to go diving for 2 months. I would love to carry her gear too!

Besides, lucky you all who have responded as at least you've been there! I've only been to Tioman for my lesson. And then developed a fear for diving and haven't dived since.

Now that's sad.

She is going diving for 2 months?! <<GB Faints with envy>>

In that case, she should plan an itinerary - and if money were no object I would join a Dive safari and visit some of the more remote locations(less visited= better flora+fauna)

Am off to view Diving porn now and come back with recommendations.

Poor you re fear of diving - what happened? Did you panic underwater? That happened to me once, but I was calmed down by handsome Indonesian dive master <swoons at memory>

ahhhhh, the Perhentian Islands circa 1994, eh Gingerbear.

Watch out for Filipino Pirates in Sipadan, so I'm told. Seriously.

Gingerbear Wed 10-Sep-08 15:15:55

Well how do Suzywong! Oh yes, we may have even crossed paths back then grin

Lordy, you and your pirates tsk- you been thinking about your Boyfriend again?

Gingerbear Wed 10-Sep-08 15:18:20

OMG this must be the ultimate livaboard

Ooh thanks Gingerbear! The website looks amazing! Even I could snap out of my fear of diving for that experience .. hee!

NOthing much happened during my lesson - I just didn't realise how many rules there were to diving - and it suddenly dawned on me that if I didn't follow the rules seriously, then I could actually die from it. Silly reason, but it really hit me when I had that revelation.
