Self catering definately
& not chintzy, dark & grannyish which is all that appears to be left sad

Usually book well in advance but we didn't think there was a slot to get away until that week cleared miraculously.
Have been trawling websites for 3 days

Fimbo Tue 22-Jul-08 10:49:49

Any good?

LullyOfShallot Tue 22-Jul-08 10:52:42

It doesn't link to anything Fimbo

Fimbo Tue 22-Jul-08 10:55:09

Presumably you have tried this?

Have you tried phoning Cornwall Tourist Information they may have a list of available places

piratecat Tue 22-Jul-08 10:56:03

most change overs are saturdays, and are showing as sat 2nd-sat9th aug.

Fimbo Tue 22-Jul-08 10:57:09

I don't know why the first link didn't work as working for me - anyway it is Cottages4You. Have a look at their website - very expensive though £1543.00 for the week

piratecat Tue 22-Jul-08 10:58:50

does it have to be cornwall, not devon (biased) wink

LullyOfShallot Tue 22-Jul-08 11:02:38

Yes have tried cottages4You & tourist board.
Nothing sad
Lots do have Fri-Fri but August is such a complete no no

LullyOfShallot Tue 22-Jul-08 11:04:45

Well...we go a lot to Devon & stay with friends in Dartmouth.
I absolutely love Cornwall... smile

Have considered Norfolk,I.O.W etc but for lots of reasons would prefer cornwall

LullyOfShallot Tue 22-Jul-08 11:05:36

<gulp> at 1543.00 for a week

piratecat Tue 22-Jul-08 11:06:31

ah, yes see your point, i am near dartmouth.

I fancy going here year with the tent. Had a look at it once, few yrs back.

Would a luxury caravan be out of the question?

medogsarebarking Tue 22-Jul-08 11:07:10

how about this

LullyOfShallot Tue 22-Jul-08 11:09:20

Ooooh lucky you
I lived there for some years it's beautiful smile

I dont think I can persuade dh to do camping/caravanning
We like our space wink otherwise I may go bonkers

medogsarebarking Tue 22-Jul-08 11:13:30

oh, didn't look at the details there - not many in that last list are suitable.

Think you may have to widen your choice of area...

LullyOfShallot Tue 22-Jul-08 11:16:58
