Is it during the Festival? If so, Festival Flats would be the place to go. If it's not then I have no idea I'm afraid. There are serviced apartments, I guess visitscotland would have details.

Festival Flats definitely then. Lots of people leave Edinburgh in the summer specifically to make money by letting their flats/houses out for those 3 weeks,so there should be loads of choice soon.

There is also a very nice Travelodge in Edinburgh which is quite cheap and cheerful.

Try the university accomodation service, all the student accomodation is let out in the summer holidays. Most of it is student halls of residence with communal kitchens but I seem to remember they also have flats.

That's a good point Kaz, they do own loads of "real" flats too, many quite central. the link is here Beety.

During the festival everything gets booked really early, so best to in quick and book now or you'll end up with a bedsit in Inverness .

Also try contacting Visitscotland - not sure of the website/phone number - but we had one of their brochures come through the other day (for an old owner of the house I presume although just addressed 'to holidaymaker' - so I kept it LOL) and there was quite a few listed in there.

beety, this should be tamum's link - click on accommodation (it's a PDF though, I haven't tried it, I hate them because my PC always hangs afterwards but yours is probably OK )
