It is our 1st wedding anniversary coming up and we have a childfree night to spend in a hotel (can't wait!) I was thinking of The Malmaison in Oxford - does anyone know of any other really nice hotels in Oxfordshire - don't mind if it is in the country or city? Thanks

or there's the Old Parsonage

(if you end up in the city and fancy dinner out I can thoroughly recommend Brasserie Blanc for Manoir-quality food at non-Manoir prices.)

yes me too re brasserie blanc, or Quod.
not Gees though, it's shit imo

Boathouse is nice too if it's a sunny evening

Fishers in a very nice restaurant on St Clements

The Fishes in North Hinksey is a very nice pub/restaurant too
I am afraid I may have run out of suggestions for a hotel. I don't have any other experiences, as I live here but Burford is quite a nice touristy place to stay with some pretty hotels

Crazy Bear in Stadhampton

Used to eat here quite often. Loved it. Have never stayed overnight, but have heard great things about it.

Oh, and Malmaison is really really lovely. We stayed there at Christmas.
