(13 Posts)I know MN is divided on Dubai.
Everything is coming out so expensive for a trip to Dubai. I don't want to go to the Canaries.
Family of 4. October half term. Beach weather - where would you go?
Budget £4k. Dubai is coming in at around £5k going to phone another agent today.
Where would you go? Oct half term is the last week of October for us.
Hi any advice welcome? Thanks
If I'm after sun and it's for a family with dc, I don't think you can beat Tenerife. 4 hrs from the UK, cheap to eat out and sunshine
Thank you yes we've been to Lanzerote this year. I suppose looking for alternatives but thank you
I’ve been to Cyprus in mid-October and it was 25° everyday, with a slight breeze. We went for 10 days, and it was only on the last couple of days that the temp dipped a little (into the high teens, low 20’s) and the sea got a bit choppy.
Other than that, it was perfect sun holiday weather with just enough breeze to make jet skiing and paragliding worth it on the beach!
@IntoValhalla I'll have a look thanks - worry is half term is the last week of Oct so quite late in the month... but thank you
I've booked Dubai for less than 4k for this October half term. Flights direct with Emirates and hotel separate (I recommend JBR walk or the marina) or book it all with Emirates holidays. Another alternative we've done is flights with Etihad who offer free transfer to Dubai, 4 night Dubai then 4 night Abu Dhabi on Yas Island.
Caribbean
I went to Zante at October half term and the weather was lovely.
Thanks @sequin2000 ! Will look at those thanks!
South Africa
