Miyajima, near Hiroshima in Japan. A World Heritage site I believe :-)

I hate it when travel brochures and magazines post a lovely photo with no clue as to where it is.

I agree, it's Miyajima. I have been and it was lovely. Stayed in a Ryokan there.
