(2 Posts)Hi everyone,
Me and my partner decided to TTC (trying to conceive) again and I came off of the pill around a month ago.
He has just surprised me with a Christmas holiday getaway to Jamaica!
I am super excited but now an worried about the potential ZIKI virus...
I know there was an epidemic a year ago....but am unsure of the risks now. I’ve been googling like crazy and very mixed advice.
I would appreciate any advice/opinions - Would you postpone TTC (trying to conceive) until after your holiday or does anyone have holidays booked/planned to these risk areas and still plan on going?
I'm sure you would be fine & the odds of you getting Zika are really minimal but like you I'm a Paranoid Pam so yes maybe just wait till afterwards. That way you can have a worry free holiday & can slap on the deet without being concerned about what it could be doing to a baby. Christmas is only 3 and a bit months off so it's not a big delay. And finally wish I'd lucked out on having an OH who sprung exotic holidays on me!
