Start using Mumsnet PremiumAdvice on Cassis, near Marseilles, France at the end of May
(6 Posts)Bonjour!! I am thinking of taking my DD (11) to Cassis at the end of May/early June. Can I ask what the weather will be like, and whether the sea will be warm enough for us (not extremely hardy), and if an outside pool (unheated) will be warm enough? and any other thoughts/comments/ideas/recommendations for this area (we're not taking a car)...Thank you!!! ;)
I dont know that particular area well, so can't really give any recommendations re the area. However, the sea should be warm enough at that time of year. The pool maybe not if unheated. If there has been good weather for a week or so before perhaps, otherwise probably not if you aren't very hardy!
Thank you LeMes for taking the time to reply
No problem, not sure it was very helpful though!
We had a couple of days in Marseille earlier this month. Weather definitely better than the UK and the food was so much nicer. No problems with the area and we enjoyed our trip. We used the Metro and local buses, having bought a travel card from our hotel reception.
Not a lot of help I know!
And thank you too BlackandGold - appreciated!
