Start using Mumsnet PremiumHelp! Where to go mid-March with two children?
(7 Posts)My husband and I are so exhausted and fed up of winter bugs and really want a relaxing holiday. But we have a toddler and a preschooler, so nothing is ever relaxing
Where should we go??? We’d go Mid-March and definitely don’t have an infinite budget. Ideally I’d like it to be hot enough to swim in an outdoor pool.
But if that’s just out of budget, we could stay our side of Europe, cold, but somewhere fresh and fun and quirky instead.
Was thinking about Dubai, but DH doesn’t fancy it (political). But I just want fresh air and to relax.
Help!! Where! I have been googling for an hour and am completely stuck.

Reykjavik isn’t sunny but is quirky. Plenty of lovely warm outdoor pools. Swimming in a blizzard is great fun.
Budapest also lovely and has outdoor swimming year round becod geothermal pools.
Or the good, faithful centre parcs Europe?
Canaries?
Cape Verde will be warm enough to swim in a pool. The beaches are lovely but the sea around Boa Vista is too rough to paddle/swim in most days.
