Car Hire from the UK to travel into Europe

Has anyone done this recently? Admittedly I have only contacted Enterprise so far, but they no longer allow it as they had people taking the cars into Europe and not returning them apparently?
It's just I would rather not hire a left hand drive over there if i could help it

Why?

It would be expensive as crossing borders usually adds to the cost

I find driving The with the steering wheel on the correct side so much easier to remember which bit of the road your supposed to be on.
