(11 Posts)Hoping to take DS to CBeebiesland for his 2nd birthday in September, it's a few hours from us so would ideally like to combine a day at Alton Towers with a nice overnight stay in a hotel/b&b and then another activity the next day (zoo, safari park, castle or something?) So any ideas on the activity and/or hotel recommendations? Many thanks
Alton towers is huge so you could do it in 2 days
I don't think the cbeebies bit is big enough for 2 days (but I could be wrong!) It's just us and 2 year old DS so not interested in the adult rides...
You can go alton towers one day and then do splash landings another day. Or trentham gardens is just down the road and is fab.
It would only take a day to do alton towers if your with a two year old 😀
Monkey Forrest next to Trentham Gardens in Stoke n Trent. Its fab and a 2 year old would love it
Twycross zoo isn't too far
Great suggestions, will google them all thank you!
Ooh Monkey Forest looks PERFECT 👍🏻
Peak Wildlife Park! It's less than 15 minutes from Alton Towers and you can see the animals being fed and pet some of them (e.g. Lemurs, goats, wallabies) all included in the price. It's great for young children.
Trentham gardens. Loads to do and splash extra for the monkeys next door. Lunch in the gardens or outside in the little shopping village bit (davids brasserie is lovely, as is pieminister)
Also there is a decent premier inn on site at trentham. Alton towers is less than 30 mins away so that could be a base location consideration?
Just bear in mind monkeys are all over in about 2 hours so it's not a full day, but add in the gardens and it would be. You can use Tesco points for the gardens too.
