(5 Posts)I'd love some ideas for a family holiday with a 6 month old and almost 3 year old and two
Severely sleep deprived and stressed parents!
For a U.K. Holiday, center parcs works for us and we flew and hired a car through Eurocamp with one sleep thief. However, number two hates the car so thinking transfer bus where he will sit on our knee is the way forward.
We are looking for...
- not too hot in mid September
- short transfer
-max 4 hour flight
- stuff to do locally we can walk or get a short bus / train to
- all inclusive which will cater for a ridiculously fussy toddler.
- some activities on site e.g. Mini golf.
We've thought initially about the Balearics but open to suggestions!
This isn't the kind of holiday I'd usually organise but we just need ease and relaxation. Many thanks in advance, wise mumsnetters!
The mumsnet favourite ticks all those boxes - Puerto pollensa on Majorca. Also check out baby friendly boltholes website for brilliant accommodation. We stayed with a Thomson family hotel in Majorca with similar aged kids but no holiday is stress free at that age I'm afraid! I find it's just as stressful as home but with better weather scenery and different food
Caleta del fuste - Furtaventura.
Short transfer from the airport, large flat resort with lots of play areas dotted around. My brother has stayed here and said it was very good value for money and the food was not fancy but had something for everyone (he is a chef and fussy). He liked having the kitchenette as well as all inclusive.https://www.google.co.uk/maps/uv?hl=en&pb=!1s0xc47c118c37c3d9f:0x79f654543b6dd76a!2m19!2m2!1i80!2i80!3m1!2i20!16m13!1b1!2m2!1m1!1e1!2m2!1m1!1e3!2m2!1m1!1e5!2m2!1m1!1e4!3m1!7e115!4shttps://www.oyster.com/fuerteventura/hotels/broncemar-beach/photos/standard-room--v4123117/!5s+-+Google+Search&imagekey=!1e1!2shttps://images.oyster.com/photos/standard-room--v4123117-1280.jpg
Thanks for the suggestions! Puerto pollensa looks gorgeous - just need to find an operator with reasonable flight times.
Try Cavtat in Croatia too. It is very close to Dubrovnik. I'm sure our bus transfer to Puerto Pollensa took about an hour when we went to Majorca. It wasn't a winding road but I found it very long with small children.
