Start using Mumsnet PremiumI booked a holiday with Thomson in my maiden name; since then I've renewed my passport with a hyphenated married-maiden name. I requested for it to be noted in the 'official observations' page on my passport that I am also known as 'XX Maidenname' (the name the hol is booked in).
The Thomson rep wasn't able to clarify whether this would be acceptable for passing through boarding and recommended I pay the fee to change the holiday booking name to the new hyphenated name (natch), however I'm loath to spend 50 quid on changing it if I don't have to.
Anyone had experience of this/can advise?
