(4 Posts)Just reading the other thread and looking for sort of the opposite!
Looking for recommendations for a European hotel for family of 5 but with nice restaurants to go out to eat and places to wander around / visit. Doesnt need to be 5 star and preferably not £££ but would like it to be really nice even if not posh.
Not that keen to go to Turkey or anywhere currently viewed as less safe although i know you can never tell. Also prefer not just to be in a (British) holiday makers enclave.
Thanks for any recommendations.
If you fancy the Algarve, then Vila Vita Parc is truely fantastic...although pricey if you go peak season/cant get a good deal.

Otherwise just along the coast is Pine Cliffs...a big bigger, and not quite the tip top standard of Vila Vita, but definitely cheaper, deals to be had in the hotel...or you can privately rent an appartment/villa on the grounds, it you search the internet for rentals.

You are nearer the town with Pine Cliffs if you want to eat out/wander around.
I would airbnb a 2/3 bed apartment in a city you like the look of.
example 4 bed place in Lisbon, £619 for a week in August
Easyjet flights from Luton, same week £809
£300 a head for a week
