Is it possible?

Trying to find a hotel room/s or apartment for a family of 4 with 2 DCs aged 10 and 12 but not sure if I actually have to trawl through all 1500+ places to check!

Can you not search by number of people?

Go onto some of the specialist websites like awaywiththekids, childfriendlyboltholes etc and that way you will know that they are child friendly. i would say in my experience around 95% of hotels are child friendly, if they arent then they usually say - adults only, not suitable for children under X years. as yours arent actually little children then can't see you would have a problem. i would say pick a hotel you like in the area you want and then go for it. Like as not they will be family friendly - if not then they cut out a huge market.

If you know where you want to stay, ask on the appropriate forum. People there can help advise on hotels.
Hotels on TA are numbered according to the rating on reviews - eg. 5/500.
This does not mean that #1 is going to be the best most expensive hotel. It is the one that people have rated most highly. It good be a very good budget hotel in a great location.
Where are you thinking of going?

Paris! I think you've been helping me on another thread, figgy, ta!

Try booking, com - you can search for family rooms, and they also offer apartments/aparthotels. Also, depending on where you want to go, Citadines are a good bet.

www.booking.com - you put in no. and age of children and can search by area, point of interest, soecific town etc. You can widen the search area if you don't find what you are looking for. Also, you can use other criteria, such as pools, parking, internet and no. of stars etc. I use it all the time.

Oh - see you are looking at Paris - in which case definitely try Citadines. Or - more pricey but fab location on the left bank - we stayed here the last time we went, in a 2 room apartment. It really did look like the pictures.

I'd go to a booking site, looking for a hotel that has the type of rooms you want for the dates you want, and then just check all the plausible candidates out on TA.
If Paris and if you have cash to spare then I'd consider Hotel Pergolese, which is £££ but has brilliant sealed-off connecting rooms set-up for families - it's near the Arc de Triomphe.

This hotel lists a quad room. Nice location near Arc De Triomphe and Champs Elysees, so just a short metro ride from the Eiffel Tower.
