need to take a suit for a wedding but not having a hold case only hand luggage.

Have you done this before?

This might seem a bit obvious, but why not wear it? You can have it steamed at the other end if you want. Of course, only works if the journey is short-haul (but guessing it must be, or you'd be taking more luggage!)

Yes my husband did and i had my (rather big) Wedding dress and it wasn't a problem-the nice air steward even hung it up in their plane wardrobe! You won't have any probs!

Yes, it's possible. DH has traveled to two weddings with only a backpack.

I fold the suit around all the other clothes, so the jacket is padded out and doesn't get crushed.

Make a nice pile of all the other clothes, and wrap the trousers around the outside of the bundle. Then do up the jacket around the bundle and tuck the arms in as neatly as possible.

Beg, borrow or buy a suit carrier?

Put it in a basic suit cover, roll up and place in hand baggage.

Fold it up and iron it when you get there?
