Where can i put 9 month old baby to sleep in French motorail sleeper compartment? Is there room for a travel cot? Has anyone travelled with baby on it - any ideas?

tatcity, vague memory of going on motorail years ago suggests that there is no room for a travel cot - as the seats just convert to bunks. On a ferry in a similar situation, what we did was to put backpacks/pillows/blankets around the bunk up to and over the height of the bunk, so DS couldn't roll out, and I lay with DS until he went to sleep. Alternatively you could just sleep with your DS - I think the bunks would be big enough.

We just did motorrail to Italy, with belgium rail. There were 4 of us and three beds. Baby did go in travel cot. There was onyl just enough space but it was managable. great way to travel we all enjoyed it. Only just seen this, you've proablbly gone there nad back already. Have fun

Lisa1 - Thanks a lot - no we haven't gone yet - still 10 days to go. Sounds good anyway - glad it worked for you. We may take the travel cot. As you used Belgian motorail (we're going from Calais) you probably won't know - but we were wondering how we would manage lugging a travel cot around once we'd left the car - as they are quite heavy things aren't they? How did you get on with that? Someone suggested putting her on the floor with loads of padding - just so much easier with t/cot isn't it - but they're so bulky and we've got loads to take anyway - plus there is a cot waiting for us where we are staying so seems a bit of a waste just for 1 night. Anyway - we'll see - glad you had a positive experience with motorail - it must beat endless hours on the motorway anyway!
