Camera Problems...

My Canon Digital Camera has broken.

The screen on the back is blurry, and when I take pictures these are blurry too. It happened at random on an evening out, the first 5 pictures are fine and then I took a few that were blurry (very blurry, not usable at all).

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why, or if I can get it repaired, or am I really going to have to fork out on a new one? They are so damn expensive, and sadly this one was bought 13 months ago so is out of the John Lewis guarantee by one month
