hi, we would like to download some programmes, via a laptop or macbook, onto our i-pod touch for an impending long train journey.

the implication is that it is possible to download/upload using a laptop (and once stuff is on the laptop dp can probably get it onto the i-pod), but we don't seem to be able to do it.

any ideas? thanks...

you would need to transfer the tv programme to disc and then load onto your laptop,in theory but I dont know how to do it,then you would need to be able to covert into a format recognised by itunes before transferring yo ipod. Are the poagrammes you want on your ipod available on bbc iplayer etc? That may be an easier way of doing it.

ah, that's an idea. to be honest i don't know. it's all down to DP really. and when i say 'our' i-pod i really mean 'his'.

As a first thing to try find the files on your disk drive, if you can drag them into iTunes and then drag them onto your iPod.

iTunes does can convert some formats for an iPod and that might do it.
