Geeky stuff

Firefox used to underline my dodgy spellings. It doesn't any more. Heeeeeeelp.

? how do I turn it back on?

I've ticked the "check my spelling as I type" box, but that hasn't done it!

Ha - my spelling is crap.

I am really missing Firefox, had to go back to IE as it was crashing our pooters

What version crashed them? Any ideas why?

I just went from v2.0.0.20 to v3.5.3 and most add-ons and things were incompatible, but it's odd for FF (or most any s/w) to crash a computer.

Could always try Opera for a bit of variety

WebDude. It seemed to make both of our computers (desktop and my dinky lap top) grind to a complete halt. It was 3.0.11.

I know nothing about Opera (though DH grimaced and said something about geeks ), apart from the fact that one of our friends uses it, and his FB updates are things like "So, looking for a !XMPP client for an E71. Suggestions"

LOL (re 'geeks') Actually, Opera is hidden away in quite a few mobile phones. I think that's how Opera decided on their 10th birthday to make it free for users, like Firefox... Before that it carried ads to cover their development and server costs.

OK, might be less popular than some, but there are always times it's handy to have a backup browser (or to be able to visit some website as a 'new user' - or even to check a different webmail account without closing the regular browser).

As for Firefox v3.0.11 it might be worth using MS Internet Explorer and getting the latest Firefox... It should notice your old installation and keep bookmarks...
