AOL Security Update ?

Repeatedly getting a Active Update message to install a Security Update, allegedly from AOL which has identified a "security vulnerability that can be used to execute a malicious code". We only use AOL for email and have Spyware Doctor installed (last run yesterday evening and with Intelliguard active),so is this genuine? If not, how do we stop it appearing.

anyone ? it's reminding me every 30 minutes or so. If it is suspicious will the Spyware pick it up ?

Highly suspicious. Don't install it under any circumstances.

A bit more digging around suggests it might actually be genuine! I would still be cautious and not let it install anything.

Update your software yourself by going to www.aol.com/, click on the downloads link (bottom left) and download the latest AOL software from there.
