have received an email from paypal saying they have suspended access to my account following unauthorized credit card use. as far as i know i havent used my card for anything. so they have asked for the following information in order to restore my access.
full name
card number
expiry date on card
ATM PIN

ive never ever been asked for my ATM pin by anyone. is this right or is it a phony email? it looks like a normal paypal email. how can i find out.?

It is most definitely a phoney. Contact Paypal customer support and forward the email on to them.

Nope - they would not do that

I would email Paypal via the webiste and report it

Reply to the email just saying 're my date of birth - I wasn't born yesterday, is this the best you can come up with you scamming load of '

Or maybe just email Paypal

Definitely FAKE - no one should ever ask for your pin (not even your bank)

Definately fake. You need to report it.
Even your bank or the police will not ask for an atm pin.
