Right, lovely people. I've ordered myself an iPhone (after my mum bought one home the other day and made me very . So I bought myself one yesterday. Am now patiently waiting for Mr Postman to deliver it. But would basically like an idiots guide to setting it up, apps, what costs money and what doesn't (PAYG phone, but have an o2 Simplicity sim).

Also, my mum somehow managed to sync hers with her pc and now has 300 photos stuck on the thing. How can she get them off? I think if she syncs to my Mac it'll erase everything. And how do I stop mine doing a similar thing. I have a Mac as my main machine, but still have my old PC with all my music etc in our spare room (not had a chance to move it onto here- got this through disabled students allowance at uni, hence pc and Mac- I'm not spoilt!). I'm 19 btw so try and be as simple as possible with me lol!

Basically, tell me everything there is to know about the iPhone 3g!

First thing to download is the iPhone Missing Manual - it will tell you a lot of the stuff you need to know.

AS for deleting photos, with my pc I set it so it doesn't sync automatically when you connect it, put a tick in 'Only sync checked songs & videos' then you can choose the folders of photos you want to sync - any you uncheck will disappear from the phone. But if you've got a Mac you can use the iPhoto application to manage your photos.

Trying to send a text now, with no luck. Have the OS 3.0 update, have my mate's number correct, just says "error sending message". Very irritating.

Ah, sorted messaging problem, it WAS a wrong number! Curse my old phone for removing the start and adding a +44 to confuse me!
