That's it really, I would like a new phone that I can use to connect my laptop to the internet with. And how much does it cost, is it per internet sesion or per day.

I'm assuming you mean a mobile phone?

It's more usual these days to buy a "USB dongle" and you will probably pay about £15 per month, with a 1GB download limit.

If you're likely to be a heavy user, watch out for extortionate rates if you go over your limit.

If your PC has Bluetooth then just about any mobile phone can be used to connect it to the internet, however it will be slowwwwww...... and you will pay lots of data costs on a normal mobile phone package.

As CAUP says, Vodaphone do a reasonably fast USB modem for laptops, and for casual surfing and emails whilst out and about that will be fine, just don't try and upload / download lots of videos, pictures of music or the data charges will be high!

Some Blackberry packages come with unlimited data, although this puts you in the slow category at the top as far as connection speed.

You may find that something like a iPhone or Blackberry actually has all the functionality that you need.
