Samsung SGH-E250 - mobile - anyone help please?

I have a little 'blue' 'G' at the top of the screen (thanks to ds2) what is it? how can I get rid of it? Is it costing me money?

I think it should be there. It's if it's red it's costing you (goes red when you send a photo message IIRC)
