My HRMC cd-rom broke & I rang the helpline number

They made me downloads a bit f kit & now there is a conflict with my AVG

Which bit of AVG is the firewall & how do I create an exception?

Now AVG has sent a fix - but I can't even find the firewall

So I have asked them where it has gone

Do you have the paid version of AVG? I have only used the free version and it doesn't include the firewall.

If you do have the paid version it should have an icon in the system tray (bottom right corner) but there would also be a link to it on the Start Menu

But if I haven't got the firewall why is there a conflict?

In that case the firewall will be there, but you should be able to open it from the system tray (notification area)

It's been a while since I used AVG, but it should show you a page with all the components one of which should be the firewall.

Does HRMC require a port to be opened? I'm not sure what HRMC stands for

generally If a program tries to connect to the net the firewall should ask you if you want to allow it and there should be a tick box for 'allow always' and perhaps for incoming/outgoing or client/servers
