I can download podcasts ok but can i also download "listen again" progs from radio websites to my ipod rather than listening to them on my pc? (Hope this question makes sense!)

You can.
There is an option bit where you can chose to download to either your poota or to another media device: ie, the ipod.

Oh, and I think it is to the bottom left of the little radio square thingy.

i can't see it, when I click on the link to the prog it just starts the bbc iplayer and doesnt seem to have option to download anywhere unless the prog is also a podcast

I have had a look and I can't see it either!
It used to be there before thy bloody 'improved' it.

Have you tried accessing it via the Radio whatever website?

Okay, have tried via the website (radio 4) and you right click on the link then chose where to save it. Presumably you can download it and save it to the pod??

Some technical info about iPlayer which may be useful.

Also you can use iTunes to subscribe to some of the BBC Podcasts.
