Can I print from a friend's Mac onto my own Dell Printer?

Is it possible to hook my friend's Mac laptop to my laptop's wireless printer (Dell)? If so, I haven't got a clue where to start.

We're putting together the school fete programme and my Powerpoint is older than her's so doesn't repro some of the ad's properly. We're now very short on time, so hooking hers to mine seems the easiest solution!

Thanks VERY much for any suggestions!

Would it be simpler and faster for Mac to 'Print to file' and put that onto a flash drive or something to load it onto the PC just for printing. It should just go straight to the printer unchanged.

As for the wireless I don't use it so perhaps someone will be along with specific detauls.

As I understand it your wireless printer is connected to your wireless router and so is part of your local network. So the trick is to connect friend's laptop to your router and to your local network where it will be able to see the printer.

for just this once off you could plug a cable between mac laptop and router as that would skip some of the complex bits.

You'd still need to join the local network by putting in the workgroup name and I don't know where you do that on a MAC.

If using wireless on the mac to your rotuer the mac has to be told the wireless password to connect.
