iPod and iTunes. Have you got two?

Can you/how do you have to accounts so that I wont get all Dh's downloaded cds in my iPod?

I think (not 100% sure though) that as long as you have different email addresses, you can log on with your own email account and it will hold all your songs etc. Same goes for his.

We have a general library of all the music we have on CD, now uploaded to iTunes, or downloaded tracks, from which we have all (DH, me, DS1 and DD)made our own playlists. When I plug in my ipod (now an iPhone), I just sync the playlists I want to sync. It doesn't just fill your iPod with everything in your iTunes library unless you tell it to.

i was a complete novice at this until yesterday but have been loading three ipods on my itunes a/c. Click on edit/preferences/devices and check the 'disable automatic syncing for ipods' box.
when you click on the ipod, at the bottom of the contents tab is a place where you can choose the autofill settings for that device.

This seems to work.
