The boys have done stuff to my computer that I have no idea how to even describe let alone rectify. help.

DS4 tends to bash at the keyboard when he get sthe chance. he seems to have reset the computer somehow.

When it starts up I get my windows page with my usual wallpaper and the icons arranged as usual but then half way across I get the BTYahoo homepage even before I have logged on to the internet.

I don't usually use internet explorer but log on by clicking the BT yahoo icon. I have done this, signed in but the top and bottom of the screen are displaying the microsoft windows font and symbol and are blue.

The text looks different on MN, esp the search messages page.

Java script has been disabled and I have no idea how to put it back on.

A clever Dell man once helped me reset my computer to how it had been the day before but I don't have a clue.

If anyone can make sense of this and help me get things back to normal I would be very grateful

If you go in through 'start', click on accessories, system tools, system restore - system restore can help you reset your pooter to an earlier time without losing any data - I had issues with Norton [grr] earlier this year, and had to use this constantly to overcome the problems caused by updates.

Ah, snigger. that might be the problem. Norton has been trying to update something for weeks, I have just ignored but the boys have been using computer today and I bet it updated something. Wil try system restore. many thanks
