I have upto £1000 to buy a new laptop, which one?

Well, we just got an HP pavillion. It is fantstic, though wasn't £1000. They do have swankier ones than ours that I assume will be even more fab.

will watch with intrest as DP has £600 to get a new one with, but we've no idea.

XH has just got a Toshiba that he thinks is really good for £449.00.

I guess it depends on what you want it for really?

its for work, well sort of, there buying it!

so really just need to internet, word, excel, powerpoint.

i seem to kill laptops, so semi indestrucible.

i quite fancy this one

if you don't need it for games or downloading then don't bother with anything fancy, just get one you like

what about the new mac Air?

was tempted with a mac as my work desktop is one but my bosses macair had just broken after 6 months. also there are a couple of work programmes/software which wont run on my mac.

Mine is the dv 9000. Does all those things you mentioned. Tried to do a link but having trouble, lol! Google it or check the HP website.

Which reckoned Sony and Toshiba were top for reliability. You can't go too far wrong with a Toshiba Satellite Pro.
