I have finally succumbed to facebook, and have done my profile and stuff, but I cannot find out the answers to some of my questions and I wondered if any of you good folk could help. What does it mean to poke and superpoke people? Why do friends have a toggle icon after their names and what does it mean? Also, there is a screen which says if you hug someone you agree to allow access to stuff - is that only for the person you hug, or can all your friends see it? Also, any other tips you could pass on would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

TIP: Do not add applications, no matter how many frinds invite you to. It is a waste of time and silly.

Poking someone is just that, a poke, on their screan. I guess like a virtual nudge. You need to add an application to hugs and superpokes. Don't bother.

No idea about the toggle icon.

poke doesn't really do anything, the person just gets a message saying 'wtfhashappened has poked you'. Not sure about superpoke or a toggle icon. If you hug someone they will be able to see your stuff, but not their friends.

Have been on facebook a few months and have no idea what you are talking about which suggests that maybe you don;t need to know either to be able to use facebook.

if you are friends with someone - can all their friends see your stuff?

You need to go into your security settings to see who can see your profile - options are friends only, networks and friends of friends.

I dont know about the toggle icon (in fact I dont know what a toggle icon is).
