Laptop screen blues :(

Really need to give up and go bed but...

...think hinge has gone on laptop, having to hang onto screen to stop it going totally flat and spelling going to pot with this one handed typing milarcky. Is it going to be pricey to fix? Can I do anything to sort it myself (well dh anyway) without resorting to paying someone a fortune? Oh bother.....

It was an on-line buy, by dh a couple of years ago, can't remember really. Suspect is just well used rather than faulty iyswim.
