i've tried uploading it on to one of my web pages and although it shows on the server it wont bring the picture up when i just put it on the page like a normal graphic...

anyone have any html code so that the user can click on the link and it downloads the file from the images directory?

any help gratefully received...

There are sites where you pay a small subscription to be able to send big files, infact I think there is actually one called sendbigfiles.com - you could try that, though I guess it also depends on the recipient being able to receive files that big

Mankymummy, the file does not display because most browsers do not have plug-ins that render eps files. First of all, if you have put the path in an <img> tag, don't. That will put a big load on your server as every visit to the page will request the 30mb file!

The simplest way is to use a link to the file like this: <a href="http://www.example.com/path/to/my/file.eps">right click here to download the big file (30mb)>.

If you need to do this a lot there are more professional solutions.

Oops, the correct HTML is:

<a href="http://www.example.com/path/to/my/file.eps">right click here to download the big file (30mb)</a>
