T-Mobile and reception - in London

Is it any good?
DH is thinking of leaving Vodafone (poor customer service) and t-mobile are offering some good deals incl free laptop
I was with them a few years ago, but the reception was poor in parts of London. This drove me mad,
but DH claims that poor reception is a '90s concept' and that all networks are good now.
