I got another one today, and because I'm a) expecting a parcel I missed yesterday and b) tracking a large trade order I've sent out, I was << >> this close to opening the damned thing. What with this, dead nigerian dictators and dodgy ebay emails, I feel I need a better spam filter...
The spam filter I use has been ditching these e-mails for days. There are certainly many of these e-mails doing the rounds. None of the e-mails have come from a UPS domain name (or been faked to appear to come from one), so a good indicator that an e-mail is fake, is that it does not come from UPS.
Latest stats (figures are Jan 2007-Today): 86% of all e-mail I receive is SPAM. Total Emails Received: 76,586 Total Emails Blocked: 65,513
The spam filter I use costs £2.50 per month (or cheaper if paid annually). Worth it to me, given the amount of spam it is detecting.
