it has started appearing when i close a window down, not every time but 50% or so,

and when i try to close it, it makes a funny noise and just reappears, if i press close like a crazy lady 10 or so times it goes away angry

i am guessing a bug of some kind but run norton and spybot things and they are showing no bugs,

please HELP before my pc takes a trip out of the nearest window angry

It sounds like something has got corrupted along the way, which may or not be explorer, but one of the programs it uses. If you've run Norton and spybot, its unlikely to be a virus.

There are a couple of things you could try before getting too technical. What version of windows do you run? You could try reinstalling windows over the top. This has the advantage of you shouldn't lose any work (but just in case, take a backup!). I've done this before.

Not sure if anyone else can suggest something???
