AVG / Grisoft going starnge???HELP!

we have the free edition of avg/grisoft and have had it working fine for almost two years, not the colourful avg icon is black and grey and it says that the internal viral database is out of date?..i have rerun the updates and even re-downloaded the free edition and then restarted computer but its still saying the same thing??HELP

I had this late last week but I thought it was my PC as it has had a few problems recently.

I ended up doing a system restore (used a point from the previous week) and it seems fine since.

Only takes about 10 minutes, not too bad at all really.

There was a compulsory update from one version to another about a month ago where you had to install the latest version.
Go here - free.grisoft.com/ and download it, job's a good'un!
