My iPad is painfully slow to respond to commands

There's a long-running thread about this in Site Stuff. Many of us are having a seriously shit time on MN due to whatever this is, I suspect some ad(s).

Do you also find typing appalling and that it seems to delete stuff almost at And adds letters for no reason, long lags between typing a letter and it appearing? And much more!

Here it is. I've just done the reset thing a pp suggests at the end of that thread, and it's a bit better.

Mind you, it's taken me a day to get my email working on my iPad after resetting! I did reset everything rather than just the keyboard though.

A very basic thing a friend taught me is to double tap the home button. It shows all of the windows currentky using working memory. Then slide up each window that you want to shut down. It doesn't lose the app or the safari webpage but speeds up processing

Closed all the windows. Thanks durian. Made no difference but have just updated settings and very slightly better.

I thought it was only me! I gave up responding in Mumsnet because of it.

The answer was to download the Mumsnet Talk App from the App Store.

That works perfectly as you can see 😀
