We have just had our website designed, and we have set up our own forum which we are using for research projects (I run a market research agency).

Clara.net, who do all our e-mail, also host our web site. They have had problems recently which has meant that our forum database has been corrupted. We can no longer get into our own forum to the admistration panel, and when people are logged in, it keeps logging them out when they switch between screens.

I know nothing about this area, but we are wondering if this is a fairly often occurrence with any host/provider (or whatever they're called) or whether we should be switching to anyone else.

Can anyone help me?

thanks!

Hiya

I was with Claranet for many years. They didn't have any problems then. Sounds like they have taken on too many customers to me.

I guess the question is - how risky is it to tolerate a couple of weeks of bad service? If you are unconfident though, move, it's not hard and there are some good ISPs out there.
