file sharing/cloud?

need a clould/vault for file sharing between family (4-5 people)

I'm getting confused by all the ads

where do I start looking?

what are you sharing ??

I use dropbox between my friends and myself.

You get about 2gig(ish).

you get a patch to install on your machine which essentially adds it as a folder in your windows explorer / finder if you are on mac. This lets you use it like any other folder on your machine.

add remove files as you see fit.

then share away.

NB. If you all plan on using the same dropbox then just share the log-in credentials with everyone. If you want the option of keeping some of the contents private then each person should set up their own account and you share folders with individuals as you see fit.

I've used this for years and never had any issues with it but as always be careful when sharing or storing personal , sensitive, financial or incriminating material online.

Similar for iCloud and Microsoft OneDrive - both will give you a folder on your hard drive which syncs with the cloud copy. Google drive has document sharing if that's more what your after.
