Small amount of water on laptop keyboard - disaster or minor repair?

DD accidentally dripped some water on her laptop keyboard mousepad. She claims 5 or 6 small drops. Now, half a dozen of the keys are not responding.

Would appreciate some advice on how serious this damage is likely to be. Are we probably looking at a minor repair, or could it mean the laptop is ruined?

Also, is there anything we can do at home to try to remedy, or do we need to take it in for professional repairs?

Put it somewhere warm to dry out - that might sort it.

She already used the hairdryer on the keyboard for a few minutes, but no luck. Hope that wasn't a bad idea......

The keyboard still hasn't recovered. Can anyone reassure me that it is an easy fix, or is it likely to be something more serious (i.e., expensive)?
