Having trouble getting smart case for Apple iPad Pro

Just bought Apple iPad Pro. The 9x7 size. In readiness I ordered a Snugg Smart Cover with a wake and sleep facility. Now I have had a Snugg on my previous iPad and I have always loved it. Works a treat. The one I received via Amazon today is so disappointing. It fits quite firmly and I was satisfied with it until I realised it was not sending the iPad Pro into sleep mode. The cover doesn't fit completely flat and you can see the lit screen in between the covers. Has anyone had this experience or could recommend one that really works. I want to protect back and front do not interested in an Apple cover. Also, don't wish to spend a fortune. Ideally would like to buy from somewhere like John Lewis where I can return easily

Sorry, didn't mean to finish so abruptly. I would be grateful for any input. Thank you.

I have the 9x7 iPad pro and I got a case from John lewis but it does not wake and sleep, I googled about this at the time as it seemed difficult to get one with this function and it is something to do with the magnets in the iPad Pro being in a slightly different place so you have to make sure the cover is from new stock and definitely only for that iPad, not any of the previous models.

This was about 6 months ago I got mine so there are probably more cases now specifically for this iPad

Thank you LightastheBreeze. I started looking at Amazon again and after hours decided to take a chance on a Torro case. It arrived today and thank goodness it works. It is solid, real leather and wakes and sleeps in an instant. I am sending my Snugg back. The Torro was £39. 99. The Snugg was £24.99 if I remember correctly, around that anyway. Thank you so much for replying.

I paid about £14 for my iPad Pro case off amazon. Wakes and sleeps fine, fits snugly and feels like it's not flimsy! Last one is 2 years old and still going (on my old iPad that swmbo now has) and this is very similar!

That sounds like a real bargain struggling. I wonder which make that is. It's difficult if one doesn't work to pick one that does. Amazon have made it easy to return but don't like to keep doing it. Thanks for the info.
